"TO RIZAL"
by:CECILIO APOSTOL
Immortal hero,whose greatness is legendary,
You emmerged from the hollow of the grave,
Where you slumber in glorious dreams
Come, our love which your memory inflames
From eternal darkness we call to you
To crown your memory with flowers.
Sleep peacefully in the shadows of the other life
Redemptor of an oppressed nation
Dont cry, in the tomb is the mystery
Of the momentary triumph of the Spaniards
Even if the bullet destroyed your brain
Your spirits destroyed an empire
Glory to Rizal! Your sacred name
Like the fires of the thabor inflame
The talent of a genius, youre the light of the mind
a song for the harp
In marble, life,
base on this poem, the writer emphasize how he value and honor Rizal...
An immortal hero, who have a great mind and great heart. The writer pointing it out that Rizal is so brave to fight against the Spaniards just for the sake of all filipino nation eventhough he sacrifice his own life just for our freedom...
"AIR CASTLES"
by:JUAN F. SALASAR
My lifes tomorrow beckons me
from tdistant mountains, high and low,
My future seems a boundless sea,
Where moving passions come and go.
Deep in my heart ambition dwells;
He cheers me up the highland way,
And guides me through the hills and dells
Wherein I pass the busy day .
I cannot write with shakespeares pen,
But Ican love with Shakespeares heart;
I love his skills, his craft of men,
His mastery of poets art.
I do not care for fame, as he,
Enthroned,was like unto a god;
The depth he reached are dark, to me,
But I will grope the ways he trod.
I wear achievements coronet,
For blest are they who see things done!
And all my cares I soon forget
When I have wrought my work alone.
If I be met by adverse fate,
And all my dreams be but in vain,
then must I work the harder yet
With high resolve to try again..
Based on this poem, the writers point out that even he is not good as shakespeare did,but he also love or his heart is in the writing... He dont care for the fame but i thought he is one of the fan of shakespeare or he admire o f this writer.
I am Desiree Guy-ab Tejada. A 18 year old student studying at Rizal Technological University. My family loves calling me “Dinday” while my friends fond of calling me “Dess”. I am the youngest in the family. I have my four siblings. The first three are working already while the fourth one and I are still on our college now.I love to write poems but it’s always unfinished. I still recall that I was on my third year high school when I have my first made poem. It’s pretty funny having a poem made by yourself.
☺In this short Tagalog poem, the poet is comparing his mother's kiss to dew on a flower. He describes her kiss as hope in the heart, light to an unclear mind.

I am Maria Ana Pia P. Camano, simple, fun to be with and quiet person but sometimes I’m talkative. I'm seventeen years old and I was born on July 19,1991 at the Mandaluyong City. My parents are Mr. Liborio Camano and Mrs. Marieflor Camano, they are my loving Parents and they do anything for the sake of our needs. I have two brothers name Mark Aladdin and Mark Andrew and I have three sisters name Maria Aira Pebless, Maria Amina Pital and Maria Ayesa Pearl. I am the eldest in the family. My favorite food is adobong baboy and sinigang. I love to listen music especially love songs. In weekends I usually do house hold chores, I help my mother washing our clothes and cleaning the house. I like to play badminton and volley ball, and I love to cook and bake cakes. I hate people who are so proud to themselves and can’t get along with other people. I love my family so much because they are the one who give me strength and support and my friends also, because they’re the one who make me happy and helping me in times of trouble. I’m a quiet person, but if there's someone who talk to me I pretend to get shy at first but when we get along or we become close my shy is gone and it's started me to be talkative. I like to see my friends happy, they always say that I’m a funny person and they usually call my name "piaya".

Our Mother Tongue
by: Jose Rizal
IF truly a people dearly loveThe tongue to them by Heaven sent,They'll surely yearn for libertyLike a bird above in the firmament.BECAUSE by its language one can judgeA town, a barrio, and kingdom; And like any other created thingEvery human being loves his freedom.ONE who doesn't love his native tongue,Is worse than putrid fish and beast;AND like a truly precious thingIt therefore deserves to be cherished.THE Tagalog language's akin to Latin,To English, Spanish, angelical tongue; For God who knows how to look after usThis language He bestowed us upon. AS others, our language is the sameWith alphabet and letters of its own,It was lost because a storm did destroyOn the lake the Bangka in years by gone.
OVERVIEW: Whoever knows not how to love is native tongueIs worse than any beast or evil smelling fish. We are free in every language we want to speak. The freedom of each people has a right to put on his tongue. Their are many language in this world we should be proud that English and Filipino we speak. It is in our hand to be use and love what our mother tongues teach us.
Love of Country
By: Andres Bonifacio
What love can bepurer and greaterthan love of country? What love? No other love, none...Nothing dear to a person with a pure heartis denied to the country that gave him birth:blood, wealth, knowledge, sacrifices,E'en if life itself ends...To her one owes the first kissof the wind that is the balmof the oppressed heart drowningin the deep well of misfortune and suffering...The bygone days of joy,the future that is hopedwill free the slaves, where can this be found but in one's native land?...If this country is in dangerand she needs defending,Forsaken are the [child, wife, parent, sibling]at the country's beck and call...Where is the honor of the Filipino?where is the blood that should be shed? The country is being oppressed, why not make a move, you are shocked witnessing this...You who are poor without [recourse]except to live in poverty and suffering, protect the country if your desire is to endyour sufferings, for her progress is for all.Dedicate with all your love—as long [as] there is blood—shed every drop of it,If for the defense of the country life is [lost]this is fate and true glory.
OVERVIEW: Do people love our country? Absolutely yes, they give their love to us by suffering their life for our land .If our country is in danger they are always their to fight and they never think what may happen ,to die or to win ?We truly do anything for the sake of our country.
To The Philippines
By: Jose RizalA glowing and fair like a hour on high,Full of grace and pure like the Morn that peepsWhen in the sky the clouds are tinted blue,Of th' Indian land, a goddess sleeps. The light foam of the sonorous sea Doth kiss her feet with loving desire; The cultured West adores her smileAnd the frosty Pole her flow ‘red attire. With tenderness, stammering, my MuseTo her 'midst undines and naiads does sing;I offer her my fortune and bliss:Oh, artists! her brow chaste ringWith myrtle green and roses redAnd lilies, and extol the Philippines!
OVERVIEW: In the Philippines a lot of things we have that makes wonderful to our Land, different culture from West, Indian Land that has a sonorous sea. We should be proud for the blessing that we have in everyday that we live in this world. We are very lucky for the life that we have and beautiful Philippine Land.
Undying Gratitudes
By: Fernando Bagongbanta
Undying gratitude is dueTo the one who caused the star to riseAnd dissipate the darknessEverywhere in this, our land.
O book most precious,You enfold whithin your leavesEvery doctrine that is goodAnd able to penetrate the soul..
You are the preciuos jewelThat adorns the Christian breast,Pendant to a golden chainWhich I will never take off my neck..
You are the sturdy staffAnd you give me great nimbelnessAs I travel in this worldUntil I behold God himself.
You are the unbreakable rudder; And even if a tempest rages,I trust in you comletelyTo bring my course to safe port..
What great fortune and blessing it isFor one who enjoys this reading:His soul would be filledWith heavenly riches.
And if sadness comes to me,You will give me true consolation; And if there be weariness and pain,It is you in my heart will find rest; All other goods are worthless to meBecause my soul hopes to receive from youGrace and everlasting glory.
OVERVIEW: What great fortune and blessing it isFor one who enjoys this reading:His soul would be filledWith heavenly riches.
For it costs so little effortAnd brings so much profit And he will become men learning.
Poems from Marc Joemer Valencia. Basically, my poems are about love but that does not mean im a hopeless romantic. Why I like these poems is that they possess great meaning. They share a meaningful thoughts to all those who can read it. Things to describe myself...simple guy, small guy living a quiet life.

Our Friendship
Do you remember that dayWe first met.It was plain and simpleOur little conversation. But then you leftJust walked out the door.
One day you came backI said hello. You looked at me and smiledI still remember that smile. We became closer friendsI secretly liked you.
After awhile we’d just sit thereI was shy. There was nothing but silenceMy heart was racing. You told me that you liked meBut much more than just a friend..
What I Have To Say
What I have to say is straight from the heart,You may not have known it yet,But i have loved you from the start,From the moment our eyes first met,I wanted to get to know you,Please believe everything I say,These feelings are so true,I hope you feel the same way,It’s time to make it official,
My name is Blesilda Eunice P. Floresca. Truly a blessing and happy victory that’s what my name stands for. But I prefer you’ll call me by my second name. My life is indeed very nice and happy like what my name has to say. Growing up with people who truly loves me was such a God’s blessing… I’m the only one daughter of my parents. During my eighteen years of living in this world my family who truly loves me made me felt that I’m complete and not alone. I learn to live my life the way they want me to be…I’m free, free to do anything I want to. I’m kind, crazy, and adventurous I like to try new things and what life has to offer.. ..

And struggle on-
I’ll set out on a voyage
And persist on my search
For God our Father.
Though I can’t sleep a wink
Because of the temptation bearing
Down on me,
Still will dare
To read this book,
And from it, draw
Though blinded in the past,
I’ll give thanks
For this light
Which God let shine
Upon the priest who has made known
This noble book.
Though tossed and dashed,
By huge waves,
I’ll trash my legs
And renew my strength-
In this book will I grasp
For the buoy that saves.
Though disabled and limping
Nothing can hold back my steps,
For this book will take me by the hand
And shoe me the way-
The staff was prepared
To give me strength.
-The poem made me realize that we should be thankful of our lives. Faith in GOD is a number one must,
He’s the one who’s giving us support, strength and given his life for us.

POEM
By: Marcelo H. Del Pilar
Now I shall begin, dear brothers
The song of the cumintang which you ask
They say there was a sea whose depth was known but a secret,
Shallow but its depth could not be measured.
And the fish that swim in the waters
It would bring pleasure to sight
Those that are big have sharp spines
And those that are small do not even have fins
So that there is no fear in jumping at them,
And is not imagined that they can choke the throat
Yet sometimes the throat of him stucks
If he who catches becomes unlucky.
In the middle of the sea it is said
There is a high tree
The branches are wide-spread, leaves plentiful,
That give shade to that sea.
At the foot of the tree, the waters
That arises its sweetness and freshness
But toward the end, for reason unknown
Little sweetness can be tasted.
This poem of the great Marcelo del Pilar reflects how was the days before during the war, how he compare the big fishes as the sharks from the American’s who wants to reign Philippines.
SA HABANG BUHAY
By: Cirio Panganiban
Kagabi,
Nang kita’y magisnan,
Puso ko ang yong pinaglalaruan,
Bago ka umalis noo ko’y hanagkan,
At sa nilalarong puso ko’y kinuha
Ang kaligayahan
Ngayon, Panaginip, ang hinihingi
Ko’y kaunti pang buhay
At ang iyong limos na tula,
Pag-ibig, Kaluwalhatian.
Tula at Pag-ibig . . .
Gaya ng anino,sila’y pinapahid
Ng dilim ng buhay sa gabing may hapis.
Nguni, salamisim, halina’t lumapit
Kaluwalhatian . . .
Dito’y walang iba: ikaw lang at ako,
At sa habang buhay, ikaw ay Salimsim,
Ako’y makata mo!
This professes an undying love of someone to the one he truly loves. He’s still hoping that there will come a time that both of them will be together,, he is still waiting and will forever wait for all of his life. These is a very nice poem, the author is a good poet that made him popular by his undying love for his woman of his life.
SALAMAT NG WALANG HOYANG
By Pedro Suarez Osorio
Salamat ng walang hoyang
Sa Iyo Diyos cong maalam
Nitong iyong auang mahal
Sa aming catagalogan
Unending thanks
To you, God of wisdom,
For this your great mercy
On the Tagalong people.
Ang ito ngang librong mahal
Na ang lama iiyong aral
Iyong limbing tinulutan
Ilimbag at ng marangal.
This fine book
Which contains your message,
You have speedily allowed.
To be published and honored.
Nang caming mga binyagan
May basahin gabi’t arao
Na aming pagaaliuan
Ditto sa bayan ng lumbay
So that we Christians
Might have something to read day and night
Something to console us
In this valley of tears.
Cun ditto isipi’t tunghan

Uala ring liuag munti man
Matuto sa cabanalan
Caya ngani cun sino man
Ang katamaran ay iiwan
Mangag pilit ding mag-aral
Nitong dilang casaysayan.
Anyone who reads and medidates
On what to do and how to do it
Without the slightest trouble
Will learn the ways of holiness.
Therefore whoever you are
Leave sloth behind
And strive to learn
From his account.
Cun atin ngang pagtamanan
Sundi,t, camtan itong aral
Madlang lubha paquinabang
Ang caloloa,t, catauan.
If we’d only apply ourselves
And takes these lesson by heart
All manner of profit
Will accrue to our body and soul.
Cun sundan nati, t ingatan
Ano ngang di cagalingan
Caloloua, i, magamamahal
Guiguinhawang magka gulang.
If we’d take them to heart and keep them
Every manners of goodness will be ours
Our souls will be endeared to God
And grow in virtue as we go older.
The poem tells how Christians are really religious in different ways, one’s christianity must be followed with compassion and expressing the real thoughts of the good life. Like the author he mention that we should take the different lessons in our lives with good manner that profits it all. We must apply these lessons on our daily lives as a part of our love for GOD.

And those that are small do not even have fins
So that there is no fear in jumping at them,
And is not imagined that they can choke the throat
Yet sometimes the throat of him stucks
If he who catches becomes unlucky.
In the middle of the sea it is said
There is a high tree
The branches are wide-spread, leaves plentiful,
That give shade to that sea.
At the foot of the tree, the waters
That arises its sweetness and freshness
But toward the end, for reason unknown
Little sweetness can be tasted.
This poem of the great Marcelo del Pilar reflects how was the days before during the war, how he compare the big fishes as the sharks from the American’s who wants to reign Philippines.
SA HABANG BUHAY
By: Cirio Panganiban
Kagabi,
Nang kita’y magisnan,
Puso ko ang yong pinaglalaruan,
Bago ka umalis noo ko’y hanagkan,
At sa nilalarong puso ko’y kinuha
Ang kaligayahan
Ngayon, Panaginip, ang hinihingi
Ko’y kaunti pang buhay
At ang iyong limos na tula,
Pag-ibig, Kaluwalhatian.
Tula at Pag-ibig . . .
Gaya ng anino,sila’y pinapahid
Ng dilim ng buhay sa gabing may hapis.
Nguni, salamisim, halina’t lumapit
Kaluwalhatian . . .
Dito’y walang iba: ikaw lang at ako,
At sa habang buhay, ikaw ay Salimsim,
Ako’y makata mo!
This professes an undying love of someone to the one he truly loves. He’s still hoping that there will come a time that both of them will be together,, he is still waiting and will forever wait for all of his life. These is a very nice poem, the author is a good poet that made him popular by his undying love for his woman of his life.

On the Tagalong people.

Which contains your message,
You have speedily allowed.
To be published and honored.

Ditto sa bayan ng lumbay
So that we Christians
Might have something to read day and night
Something to console us
In this valley of tears.

Uala ring liuag munti man
Matuto sa cabanalan
Caya ngani cun sino man
Ang katamaran ay iiwan
Mangag pilit ding mag-aral
Nitong dilang casaysayan.
Anyone who reads and medidates
On what to do and how to do it
Without the slightest trouble
Will learn the ways of holiness.
Therefore whoever you are
Leave sloth behind
And strive to learn
From his account.

And grow in virtue as we go older.
The poem tells how Christians are really religious in different ways, one’s christianity must be followed with compassion and expressing the real thoughts of the good life. Like the author he mention that we should take the different lessons in our lives with good manner that profits it all. We must apply these lessons on our daily lives as a part of our love for GOD.
salamat
